MADRID, HERE COMES MARITESS! 🇪🇸✨

I am thrilled to share that my artwork, “Maritess,” has been accepted by ExpoMetro and will be featured on the giant LED screen at Plaza del Callao in the heart of Madrid, Spain, on June 20–21, 2026. The exhibition places artworks in one of Madrid’s most iconic public spaces, seen by hundreds of thousands of people from around the world.

What makes this even more special is that Maritess has already found her forever home with a wonderful collector. Congratulations and thank you for believing in this piece. Your artwork will now travel beyond walls and borders, reaching an international audience in one of Europe’s most vibrant cultural cities.

As an artist, it is a surreal feeling to know that a painting born in my studio in the Philippines will soon be displayed in the very center of Madrid. A character inspired by familiar stories, conversations, and personalities we all know somehow finds herself under the bright lights of Spain.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support my art journey. And to Maritess—who always seems to know the latest news—she now has some exciting news of her own. 😉❤️

I’m grateful to share that “Diyan sa may Tuktukan IV” and “Diyan sa may Tuktukan V” have found their new home.

There’s always something special about seeing a pair of paintings remain together…continuing their quiet conversation on someone else’s wall.

Thank you to their new collector for welcoming these works into your space. May they bring moments of reflection, wonder, and light for many years to come.

MILAGROSONG STA. ANANG BANAK

Acrylic on Canvas
2ft x 3ft
(In white floating frame)

Now available at Galerie du Soleil

Rooted in the rich spiritual heritage of Taguig, this abstract work is my tribute to a local miracle passed down through generations.

During a time of famine in the late 16th century, the people of Sta. Ana turned to Sta. Ana in prayer. In response, the once-empty river overflowed with banak (mullet fish), nourishing an entire community and renewing their faith. This miracle lives on every July 26 through the Sta. Anang Banak Festival — a celebration of life, water, and shared hope.

In this three-piece series, I reimagine the miracle through movement, energy, and spiritual geometry.
Painted in acrylic using heavy dry brushing and translucent glazing, angular forms pierce through midnight blue and gold — evoking sacred waters at twilight, that threshold between the seen and the unseen where miracles unfold.

Embedded red and white squares, cascading lines, and golden dots reflect the tension between divine order and human need.
This work is not just about fish — it is about grace arriving exactly when it is needed most.
