𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦, 𝗕𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗪 𝗝𝗢𝗦𝗛𝗨𝗔 𝗗𝗔𝗢-𝗪𝗔𝗡! 🎉

🏆 JD’s Hito Production emerged as the winner in the Production Category during the Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) Regional Start-Up Competition of the Department of Agriculture – Cordillera Administrative Region held on February 13, 2026.

Owned by Joshua R. Dao-wan from Kalinga, JD’s Hito Production impressed the judges with its innovative embutido made from hito (catfish). Bayaw Joshua manages his own hito farm, personally overseeing the hatching and harvesting of the fish to ensure quality and sustainability of his product.

The competition gathered 12 young farmers and agri-entrepreneurs from different provinces in the Cordillera region three under the Production Category and nine under the Processing Category. Entries were evaluated based on creativity, feasibility, sustainability, and market potential.

As the category winner, JD’s Hito Production will receive Php 150,000 worth of start-up capital to support the expansion and development of the business. The awarding ceremony will be held on February 27, 2026.
