Southern Leyte State University - Sogod Campus joyfully celebrated Family Day through meaningful and heartwarming activity titled "𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫" held at the Plenary Hall last February 27, 2026.

The program featured inspiring messages from university leaders, engaging activities, fun games, and gift-giving that brought smiles to everyone present. During this special hour, the children were at heart of the program, making the celebration more lively and unforgettable.

One of the highlights of the event was the storytelling led by AMiCUS - SLSU Sogod Campus, where stories with valuable moral lessons were shared to inspire young minds. The children also enjoyed lively action songs that encourage participation, movement, and joyful interaction. These activities not only entertained the kids but also instilled values in fun and meaningful way.

Truly, the 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫 became a beautiful reminder of the importance of family, guidance, and unity within the university community.

AMiCUS-SLSU Main Campus successfully concluded the LEGAL INSIGHTS WEBINAR on February 17, 2026

Despite the pagsuway and unexpected challenges before and during the webinar, God reminded us that His plans will always prevail. What almost became an obstacle turned into a testimony of perseverance, purpose, and faith. 🙏

We have successfully concluded our Legal Insights Webinar with Atty. Steffi Juris E. Tafalla, Public Attorney of PAO Sogod. The discussion on the evolution of our laws from R.A. 7877 to the Safe Spaces Act — reminded us that the law exists to protect dignity, uphold justice, and create safe environments for all.

As we reflected on workplace harassment laws and accountability, we were also reminded that justice is not only a legal principle it is a reflection of God’s character. The law protects human dignity because every person is created in His image. When institutions promote safe spaces, they mirror God’s desire for peace, respect, and righteousness in our communities.

We deeply appreciate the brave participants who shared their experiences and sought advice during the open forum. Your courage to speak up reflects strength, and your voices contribute to building a culture of awareness and protection. Creating safe spaces is both a legal responsibility and a moral calling.

Bible Study Gathering | November 28, 2025 📖✨
AMiCUS SLSU successfully conducted its Bible Study Gathering at the Conference Room, AIS Building. The program opened with welcoming remarks and an inspirational song, setting a meaningful tone for the evening.

A structured group dialogue focused on Service and Volunteering and Music and Worship, where participants—including invited guests—openly shared insights and experiences, fostering inclusivity, respect, and faith-centered learning. The activity was further enriched by interactive games that strengthened teamwork, self-expression, and fellowship. 🤍🙏
