Psalms 9:17-20
[17] The wicked will go down to the grave. This is the fate of all the nations who ignore GOD. [18] But the needy will not be ignored forever; the hopes of the poor will not always be crushed. [19] Arise, O LORD! Do not let mere mortals defy you! Judge the nations! [20] Make them tremble in fear, O LORD. Let the nations know they are merely human.
Matthew 28:2-7
[2] Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it. [3] His face shone like lightning, and His clothing was as white as snow. [4] The guards shook with fear when they saw Him, and they fell into a dead faint. [5] Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” He said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. [6] He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as He said would happen. Come, see where His body was lying. [7] And now, go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead, and He is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see Him there. Remember what I have told you.”
Proverbs 5:20-23
[20] Why be captivated, my son, by an immoral woman, or fo**le the breasts of a promiscuous woman? [21] For the LORD sees clearly what a man does, examining every path he takes. [22] An evil man is held captive by his own sins; they are ropes that catch and hold him. [23] He will die for lack of self-control; he will be lost because of his great foolishness.
Psalms 91:5-10
[5] Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. [6] Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. [7] Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. [8] Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. [9] If you make the LORD your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, [10] no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home.
Psalms 78:36-43
[36] But all they gave Him was lip service; they lied to Him with their tongues. [37] Their hearts were not loyal to Him. They did not keep His covenant. [38] Yet He was merciful and forgave their sins and did not destroy them all. Many times He held back His anger and did not unleash His fury! [39] For He remembered that they were merely mortal, gone like a breath of wind that never returns. [40] Oh, how often they rebelled against Him in the wilderness and grieved His heart in that dry wasteland. [41] Again and again they tested God’s patience and provoked the Holy One of Israel. [42] They did not remember His power and how He rescued them from their enemies. [43] They did not remember His miraculous signs in Egypt, His wonders on the plain of Zoan.
When you start walking with GOD, people will stop walking with you, not because they don't like you but because you're about to sacrifice things they are not willing to sacrifice. And when GOD takes you through deep waters, not everyone will be able to swim with you.
Matthew 16:24-26
[24] Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If any of you wants to be My follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow Me. [25] If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for My sake, you will save it. [26] And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?
Revelation 21:5-8
[5] And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then He said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” [6] And He also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. [7] All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children. [8] “But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
Philippians 2:3-6
[3] Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. [4] Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. [5] You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. [6] Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.
Psalms 50:16-22
[16] But God says to the wicked: “Why bother reciting My decrees and pretending to obey My covenant? [17] For you refuse My discipline and treat My words like trash. [18] When you see thieves, you approve of them, and you spend your time with adulterers. [19] Your mouth is filled with wickedness, and your tongue is full of lies. [20] You sit around and slander your brother— your own mother’s son. [21] While you did all this, I remained silent, and you thought I didn’t care. But now I will rebuke you, listing all my charges against you. [22] Repent, all of you who forget Me, or I will tear you apart, and no one will help you.
1 Corinthians 10:19-23
[19] What am I trying to say? Am I saying that food offered to idols has some significance, or that idols are real gods? [20] No, not at all. I am saying that these sacrifices are offered to demons, not to GOD. And I don’t want you to participate with demons. [21] You cannot drink from the cup of the LORD and from the cup of demons, too. You cannot eat at the LORD’s Table and at the table of demons, too. [22] What? Do we dare to rouse the LORD’s jealousy? Do you think we are stronger than HE is? [23] You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial.
