Mateo 28:20 🤍

28/06/2025

This morning, I attended a prayer meet-up, and the message was centered on the faith of Bartimaeus. Bartimaeus was blind, and when he heard that Jesus was passing by, he shouted for help. Some people tried to silence him, telling him to be quiet, but Bartimaeus continued to shout until Jesus noticed him. Jesus stopped and said, "Call him." Then He asked Bartimaeus, "What do you want me to do for you?" Bartimaeus replied, "I want to see." Jesus responded, "Go, your faith has healed you."

One of my churchmates pointed out that while Bartimaeus was physically blind, he remained spiritually focused on Jesus, believing that only Jesus could heal him.

Despite the people around him trying to hinder his cries for help, Bartimaeus persevered. There are often many obstacles that try to stop us, circumstances that bring doubt, and struggles that can blind us to our faith.

This story teaches us that through our faith, we can find healing. It can be challenging to continue serving and maintaining our faith when struggles arise and we feel tired of pushing through. Yet, we should strive to be like Bartimaeus. Although we may face physical blindness to our circumstances, we must keep our souls and spirits focused on the fact that God is our healer. The pain we experience now cannot compare to the joy that is to coming.
