2 MDA journos qualify to RSPC

The 2 Mater Dei Academy (MDA) campus journalists (CJs) qualify to the 2025 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) by finished Top 3 in the final rounds of the 2025 Provincial Schools Press Conference on January 16, 2025 at San Rafael National Trade School in Caingin, San Rafael, Bulacan.

Francheska Mera Rayo of Grade 11 ABM, who placed 2nd in the pre-final rounds held on January 10, 2025 at Carlos. F. Gonzales High School in Maguinao, San Rafael, Bulacan, bagged 1st place in Pagsulat ng Lathalain Secondary Level.

She was coached by Roxan Erika R. Antaran, LPT.

Zyrenne Ashley Memoracion of Grade 9 STE, who was guided by Hezel Dave Sedeño, LPT and she ranked 5th in the pre-finals, won 2nd place in the Editorial Writing.

Vam Angelo Macaranas of Grade 10 STE grabbed 4th place in Pagsulat ng Artikulong Agham while Karin Gianna Lorraine Valmores of Grade 9 STE won 5th place in Science Writing.

Both won similar ranking in the pre-finals and were coached by Rhealyne A. Garcia, LPT.

Sebastian Luke Casimiro of Grade 12 ABM, coached by Ms. Antaran, placed 7th in the pre-final of Feature Writing, while Yasmin De Leña of Grade 12 STEM, guided by Ms. Garcia, grabbed 10th place in the pre-final of Science Writing.

Duc in Altum Publications is in need of staff members. Interested students should look for the following teacher-coaches to be able to participate in the school-wide press conference on November 21-22, 2024 after class hours and join as staff members of Duc in Altum (English) and Inang Diwa (Filipino): Mr. Mark Jerome Cruz (News Writing), Ms. Hezel Dave Sedeño (Editorial Writing), Ms. Roxan Erika R. Antaran (Feature Writing), Mr. Mel Anthony G. Nalo (Sports Writing), Ms. Rhealyne A. Garcia (Science Writing), Mr. Christian T. Felix (Copyreading), Mr. Alexander Roxas (Editorial Cartooning), Mr. Mark Paul M. Parulan (Column Writing), and Mr. Simon Isaac F. San Diego (Photojournalism).

Radio Broadcasting and Scriptwriting is still on-going.

Congratulations, Francheska Mera M. Rayo of Grade 10 STE Queen of All Saints, for bagging 10th place in Pagsulat ng Lathalain of the 2024 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) on May 22, 2024 at Pampanga High School in San Fernando City, Pampanga.

Bested 50 other participants from different school divisions of Region 3, she was coached by Ms. Roxan Erika R. Antaran, LPT.

Sebastian C. Casimiro (Feature Writing) of Grade 11 ABM Queen of the Universe and Yasmin N. De Leña (Science Writing) of Grade 11 STEM, coached by Ms. Antaran at Ms. Rhealyne A. Garcia, LPT, respectively, also participated in the 2024 RSPC.
