Properly Opening a Laptop Without Breaking Hinges
❌ WRONG way (what breaks hinges)
•Opening from one corner
•Forcing past resistance
•Holding the screen only
•Opening while the base is lifted
This twists the hinge barrels and cracks the mount.

✅ CORRECT WAY (HINGE-SAFE)
🟢 STEP 1 — Place laptop correctly
•Put laptop on a flat, stable surface
•Ensure both hinges are supported
•Lid fully closed

🟢 STEP 2 — Hand placement (VERY IMPORTANT)
•One hand on the BASE, centered near the keyboard
•Other hand at the CENTER of the screen, near the we**am area
📌 Never open from the corners.

🟢 STEP 3 — Apply EVEN force
•Lift the screen slowly and evenly
•Keep base fully flat
📌If resistance is felt → STOP, don’t force
This prevents hinge torque.

🟢 STEP 4 — Open to 90–110° first
•Don’t snap fully open in one motion
•Let hinge grease distribute
•Then adjust angle gently

🟢 STEP 5 — Close the same way
•Hand on center of screen
•Other hand stabilizing base
•Close slowly
