Today is the 159th Birthday of José Protasio Rizal Mercado Y Alonso Realonda.

Throughout the life of Dr. Jose Rizal, he believed deeply in the importance of education. In his mature years, Rizal recognized that school is a social necessity. Rizal always considered education as something that could cure the problems of Colonial Philippines. He believed in education that is free from political and religious control. He asserted that reform cannot be achieved if there is no suitable education, a liberal one available to Filipinos.

Dr. Jose Rizal wrote various poems, books, novels, speeches, articles and essays. The National Library of the Philippines created the Rizaliana collection which consist of 650 titles of publications of and about Jose Rizal, including the different translations of his writings into major European and Oriental languages as well as into Philippine dialects, his biographies written by scholars and the most noteworthy of his works, the Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. In the celebration of the 100th Birth anniversary of Jose Rizal, the present building of the National Library of the Philippines located on the southeast side of Rizal Park Manila facing T.M. Kalaw street was inaugurated. The National Library of the Philippines building was constructed through nationwide fundraising campaign and most of the donors were pupils from different schools across the country. Pupils were encouraged to donate ten centavos to the initiative. Library employees were also encouraged to donate a day’s salary. The building was inaugurated by President Carlos P. Garcia on June 19, 1961.

Maraming salamat po sa mga nagpaabot ng kanila tulong sa ating proyektong "TULAY SA E-SKWELA". Kami po ay patuloy pang tumatanggap ng mga donations upang makabili ng computer units para sa Barangay Reading Centers. Una na po ang Barangay Balagbag, Diffun, Province of Quirino na magbubukas sa 27 June 2020.

Hindi matutumbasan ng kahit anong halaga ang tulong na maipaaabot natin sa mga kabataang salat sa gamit pangteknolohiya at patuloy na sinusubok sa kanilang pagkatuto. Itong ating inisyatibo ay maliit lamang ngunit makasisiguro na makikinabang ang mga miyembro ng komunidad.

Patuloy tayong maging instrumento sa paglago ng kaalaman ng bawat kabataang Pilipino. Maraming salamat at manatiling malusog.
