Personal na nagsagawa ng site visit si OIC-Deputy Administrator for Engineering and Operations Sector Engr. Reyne B. Ugay sa Cabiao Water Impounding Project (WIP) sa Brgy. San Vicente, Cabiao, Nueva Ecija upang suriin ang kasalukuyang progreso ng konstruksyon ng proyekto.
Ang Cabiao WIP ay may service area na 4,600 ektarya at inaasahang magbibigay ng sapat na patubig sa 1,538 farmer-beneficiaries, kabilang ang 1,124 magsasaka mula sa Pampanga at 414 mula sa Nueva Ecija.
Kasama ni Engr. Ugay sa site visit sina PamBat IMO Manager Engr. Ruben R. Llamas, Engineering Section Chief Engr. Jhon Ray A. David, at mga kawani mula sa Pampanga Delta RIS Operation and Maintenance Section at Engineering Section. Sinuri ng grupo ang mga pasilidad at nagsagawa ng field assessment upang matiyak ang maayos at de-kalidad na pagpapatupad ng proyekto.
Matapos ang inspeksyon sa Cabiao WIP, nagtungo rin ang grupo sa Cong Dadong Dam sa Arayat, Pampanga upang suriin ang kasalukuyang kondisyon ng pasilidad bilang bahagi ng patuloy na monitoring activities ng ahensya.
Ang mga ganitong aktibidad ay bahagi ng patuloy na pagtutok ng NIA sa pagpapaunlad at pagpapanatili ng mga imprastrukturang pang-irigasyon upang matiyak ang maaasahang suplay ng tubig para sa mga magsasaka at suportahan ang pagtaas ng produksyon sa sektor ng agrikultura.

The National Irrigation Administration Region III is currently conducting the Day 1 of 3 virtual sessions of the “Training on the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the New Government Procurement Act (Republic Act No. 12009)," at the Farmers Training Center, Tambubong, San Rafael, Bulacan.
The activity is attended by NIA Region III Bids and Awards Committee, Technical Working Group for Infrastructure and Goods, and Property and Procurement Unit Personnel.
Facilitated by the Association of Government Internal Auditors, Inc. (AGIA), the training seeks to improve the knowledge and competencies of procurement officers and staff on how to implement effectively the New Government Procurement Act. This law provides substantial reforms which seek to improve the transparency, efficiency, accountability, and cost-effectiveness in the conduct of government procurement transactions.
The participants are anticipated to have a better understanding of the updated procurement procedures, compliance requirements, and the roles and responsibilities of procurement practitioners under the new legal framework.
Also, this training will help the participants in strengthening their internal controls and promoting good governance in procurement planning and ex*****on. Serving as the resource speaker for Day 1 is Mr. Mario L. Gentiles; meanwhile, the succeeding sessions will be facilitated by Engr. Charito L. Cinco on Day 2 and Mr. Jet T. Cariaga on Day 3, all of them are GPPB Recognized Trainer.

The NIA Bulacan IMO conducted the seminar “Road Safety Compliance: Training on RA 4136 for Drivers and Personnel” on April 30, 2026, at Bustos Dam Pavilion, Tibagan, Bustos, Bulacan.
The seminar aimed to strengthen awareness and compliance with Republic Act No. 4136 or the Land Transportation and Traffic Code among agency drivers and personnel. Participants were oriented on traffic rules and regulations, responsible driving, road safety practices, and accident prevention measures relevant to their duties.
The activity was under the initiative of Bulacan IMO Manager Engr. Enrique G. Carlos, with the support of all section chiefs. The lecture was facilitated by Mr. Jovany S. Olofernes, Safety Officer of LTO Pampanga, who discussed key road safety guidelines, compliance requirements, and responsible vehicle operation.
This initiative reflects NIA Bulacan IMO’s commitment to promoting safety, discipline, and accountability in public service.
