Last June 20, 2026, first-year NSTP students successfully conducted 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, a seminar dedicated to promoting disaster preparedness, emergency response awareness, and drug prevention among students.
The program began with an opening prayer, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and welcome remarks from 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮 𝗗. 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗼, our Campus Director, who expressed her appreciation for the initiative and commended the efforts of the first-year NSTP students, advisers, and organizers for conducting a meaningful and impactful event. Guiding the program throughout the day were our emcees, 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮 𝗖𝘂𝗲𝘁𝗼 and 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼 𝗗𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗮 from 𝗕𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝟭-𝟭, whose enthusiasm and professionalism helped keep the event engaging and organized.
The seminar featured three insightful sessions led by our distinguished resource speakers. 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗮 discussed 𝗛𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, where participants gained practical knowledge and learned how to create hazard maps through an engaging activity. After lunch, 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗟𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗴 facilitated a 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗶𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲, allowing participants to learn essential first aid procedures through hands-on demonstrations and guided participation. The final session was led by 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗮, who discussed 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 through an interactive and lively discussion that encouraged active participation among students.
Each topic was followed by an open forum, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions and deepen their understanding of the topics discussed. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to the resource speakers in recognition of their valuable contributions and commitment to sharing their expertise.
The program concluded with closing remarks from 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹 𝗖. 𝗘𝘀𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻, who expressed his appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. The seminar officially ended with a photo opportunity and the singing of the PUP Hymn.
Through 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, participants were equipped with valuable knowledge and practical skills that can help them become more prepared, responsible, and resilient members of the community.

Last November 27, PUP San Pedro Campus came alive with creativity, laughter, and kindness during the NSTP Outreach Program, "Kulay ng Kalinga!" The event aimed to bring joy to the children of Brgy. United Bayanihan, nurturing connections and building positive bonds through the magic of art and coloring. 🖍️🌈
The day kicked off with an energizing intermission performance by Dulaang Oyayi Theatre Arts, inspired by Wicked. With Elphaba and Glinda showing that true friendship thrives on bravery and camaraderie, the crowd was truly inspired. 💚🩷
Our little artists then got hands-on with group coloring activities, guided by our NSTP student facilitators, followed by fun and games that had everyone smiling from ear to ear. The day ended on a sweet note with the giving of coloring books, crayons, and lootbags that the children could take home. 🌞🎨
A huge thank you to our NSTP students for decorating the room, organizing, and facilitating the event; to the children for their laughter and energy; and to Dr. Jayson Esmasin and Campus Director Dr. Minerva Ferranco for their inspiring messages; and lastly to our very own NSTP Advisers, Maam Emylane Vicente, Jonalyn Jaranilla, and Elena Roncales for the support and guidance.
Through simple coloring, we shared laughter, built meaningful connections, and created moments that will stay with us—a beautiful reminder that joy grows when we give it with kindness. 💛
