Meteorological officials have announced that the first solar eclipse of 2024 is scheduled to take place on April 8th and 9th.

The partial eclipse will begin at 8:48 PM PST on April 8th, followed by the total eclipse starting at 9:38 PM PST. The maximum eclipse is expected to occur at 11:17 PM PST on April 8th.

The total eclipse will end at 12:55 AM PST on April 9th, with the partial eclipse concluding at 1:52 AM PST on the same day.

This solar eclipse will be visible from western regions of Europe, North America, South America, the Pacific, Atlantic, and the Arctic.

ADVISORY

7 April 2024 - In order to allow learners to complete pending assignments, projects and other requirements, all public schools nationwide shall implement ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES/DISTANCE LEARNING on Monday, 8 April 2024.

Likewise, teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public schools shall not be required to report to their stations.

Finally, private schools shall not be covered by this advisory but shall have the option to implement the same.
