Warm greetings from Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center – National Specialty Center for Geriatric Care!

In line with our mandate to lead capacity-building initiatives and strengthen geriatric healthcare delivery across the country, we are pleased to invite your qualified nurses to participate in the Nurse Certification Program in Gerontology Nursing, scheduled from August 4 to September 2, 2025.

This month-long training aims to enhance the competencies of nurses in the specialized care of older persons, aligned with the standards set by the Department of Health. The program will include lectures, hands-on skills training, clinical exposures, and assessment activities, and will be held at the following venues:
o National Center for Geriatric Health 4th Floor Conference Hall & Geriatric Ward in San Miguel, Manila
o Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center in Sta. Cruz, Manila
o Long-term Care Facility in San Miguel, Manila

Slots for the program are limited and free of charge; thus, we highly encourage submission of Request Letters on or before July 31, 2025, indicating the names, designations, and contact details of the recommended staff to secure their slot in the program. The Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center-Department of Geriatric Medicine, the DOH-designated National Specialty Center for Geriatric Care, is now accepting applicants for its 2-year Geriatric Fellowship Training Program. The program is open to all Diplomates of Internal Medicine and Family Medicine.

Our fellowship program offers:
▫️Comprehensive clinical training guided by experienced mentors and leaders in geriatric care
▫️Engagement in research and policy development initiatives
▫️Opportunities to contribute to national discussions on geriatric care standards
▫️Collaboration with international organizations to address global aging challenges
