Spotted a "Disco clam (Ctenoides ales)" is a small Indo-Pacific bivalve famous for its rapid, strobe-like flashing display, created by reflecting ambient light with specialized mantle tissue rather than producing bioluminescence. Its shimmering “disco-ball” effect is thought to deter predators, making it one of the most unique clams in the ocean.
