𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Internship Deployment at CHR Central Luzon
Five Bachelor of Science in Development Communication (BSDC) interns from Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) officially began their internship at the Commission on Human Rights - Central Luzon (CHR Regional Office III) on June 10, accompanied by internship coordinator Ms. Lenneth C. Febrero and Mr. Jose Marie F. De Guzman, Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit of the BASC Gender and Development (GAD) Office.
The interns were oriented on their expected roles and responsibilities by Ms. Maria Niña T. Ocampo, Administrative Officer IV, and Atty. John Angel Bautista of the Legal Aid Unit, before being assigned to various office sections, including legal, promotion, and administration.
The deployment is part of BASC’s continuing partnership with the CHR Regional Office III, established through a memorandum of agreement signed in 2025. Beyond providing meaningful field experience for students, the collaboration aims to strengthen institutional ties and pave the way for future initiatives, including the integration of human rights concepts into academic courses, joint research projects, awareness campaigns, and capability-building programs for both students and faculty members.
Headed by Atty. Leorae D. Valmonte, the regional office remains committed to protecting and promoting the rights of all individuals, particularly marginalized and vulnerable sectors in Central Luzon.
