The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Regional Training Center La Union held a Farmers’ Trade Fair on April 23, 2026, turning the lobby into a busy mini market. As trainees of Agroentrepreneurship NC II, we had the chance to sell our products and experience running a real business.
Our trainer, Francis Kenneth M. Alamay, explained the purpose of the event. Chief Artemio S. Pulido gave the welcome message, while Regional Director Ramon Evan T. Ruiz shared an inspiring message. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by the TESDA RTCLU top management together with Supervising TESDA Specialist Arturo G. Gañalon and Administrative Officer V Marygrace B. Manalo.
The products we sold came directly from farmers in La Union, Pangasinan, and Benguet. This helped support local communities while teaching us how to connect with real suppliers.
More than just selling, the event became a real-life classroom for us. We tested our products, practiced marketing and customer service, managed our money, and worked as a team. We also learned how to handle pressure during preparation, deal with different attitudes of fellow trainees as well as suppliers, manage stress, and face customers—even those who were aggressive, testing our customer relations.
We also experienced real challenges like delays in delivery and failure to deliver some goods. Instead of stopping, we learned how to adjust, solve problems, and keep going.
As the class captain, it was an honor for me to serve as the master of ceremonies and help spearhead the event under the guidance of our trainer, Sir Kenneth.
At the end of the day, even if the products were sold out, we gained something more valuable—real experience, confidence, and stronger problem-solving skills. The event showed that Agroentrepreneurship NC II is not just about classroom learning, but about facing real-life challenges and growing from them.
