🌽 Celebrating Our Corn Clusters in the Spotlight! 🌽
The Ten C Agriculture Cooperative of Bacnotan, La Union and the Viba Farmers Cluster Agriculture Cooperative of Malasiqui, Pangasinan have been proudly featured in the 2nd Quarter Issue of Damag Agri, the official publication of DA Ilocos.
Adding to this remarkable milestone, the Ten C Agriculture Cooperative takes center stage as the cover story of this quarter's publication—an inspiring recognition of the cooperative's dedication to strengthening farmer organizations, promoting collective marketing, and advancing the goals of the Farm and Fisheries Clustering and Consolidation (F2C2) Program.
Also featured in this issue are inspiring stories on the successful market deliveries of five (5) corn clusters to institutional buyers, showcasing how clustering and consolidation have opened greater market opportunities for our farmers. Among the highlights are the consolidated deliveries to San Miguel Food Corporation, demonstrating the impact of collective marketing in providing farmers with better market access, stronger bargaining power, and improved income.
This achievement reflects the unwavering commitment of our farmer cooperatives and the collective efforts of the Department of Agriculture and its partners in building resilient, market-driven, and competitive farming communities.

Strengthening Corn Clusters Through Commitment and Collaboration
From July 7–10, 2026, the Orientation, Formation, and Profiling Activities were successfully conducted in Villasis, Pangasinan; Mangaldan, Pangasinan; and Marcos, Ilocos Norte for target corn clusters under the Farm and Fisheries Clustering and Consolidation (F2C2) Program.
The activity aimed to secure the commitment of both the officers of participating Farmer Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs) and individual farmers toward the implementation of the F2C2 Program. It also provided an opportunity to orient stakeholders on the program's objectives, facilitate cluster formation, and profile prospective members in preparation for effective cluster development and collective marketing.
The activity was spearheaded by Mr. Juanito S. Malazo, Jr., F2C2 Focal Person, together with the F2C2 staff. Coordination with the local stakeholders was led by Mr. Florante Gallebo, Corn Banner Program Focal Person, in partnership with the Provincial Corn Coordinators of Pangasinan and Ilocos Norte.
Through strong partnerships and shared commitment, we continue to empower our corn farmers, strengthen farmer organizations, and build market-driven clusters that will contribute to a more resilient and competitive agricultural sector.

La Union Cluster Undertakes Profiling for Tomato Clustering Initiative
San Gabriel, La Union- On April 21, 2026, the Nambabag Farmers Association conducted its orientation, formation, and individual farmer profiling activities in Barangay Lipay Norte, San Gabriel, La Union as part of its official participation in the clustering and consoldiation program for tomato production.
The activity was carried out in close coordination with the Municipal Agriculture Office of the LGU San Gabriel, with technical support from the F2C2 Region 1 Technical Team. A comprehensive briefing was provided to farmer-members, outlining the framework for clustering and consolidation, and emphasizing the benefits of a coordinated, market-oriented production system.
Under the program, the Department of Agriculture- High Value Crops Development Program (DA-HVCDP) will provide the necessary interventions and support to the association's engagement in tomato production.
As of reporting, a total of forty (40) farmers have undergone individual profiling, with additional farmer-members expected to be included as the initiative progresses. The Nambabag Farmers Association encompasses three upland barangays: Lipay Norte, Lipay Proper, and Lipay Este.
This initiative aims to strengthen collective action among farmers, improve productivity, and enhance access to stable and sustainable market opportunities, contributing to the broader goal of agricultural development in the municipality.
