The Mangyan people, renowned for their rich traditions and unique cultural practices, use this symbol to signify their identity and heritage. It embodies values of unity, strength, and resilience, which are core to the Mangyan way of life.

The Pakudos symbol is of profound cultural and historical importance to the HAGURA Organization, that includes the three major Mangyan tribes in Occidental Mindoro Province which is the Hanunuo, Gubatnon, and Ratagnun.

This emblem will be prominently displayed at the back of the shirt, representing a significant cultural collaboration and a nod to the Mangyan heritage.

The inclusion of the Pakudos symbol in the campus shirt was made possible through the gracious consent of the Hagura. This decision reflects a deep respect for the Mangyan culture and aims to promote cultural awareness and appreciation among SSG members and the wider community.

The Pakudos, with its intricate design and powerful meaning, is a perfect representation of dedication, honor, and service, aligning with the SSG’s values. The authorization of the Pakudos symbol for the SSG uniform signifies a meaningful partnership in recognizing and preserving the cultural heritage of the Mangyan tribes.

This initiative honors the Mangyan people and fosters a deeper understanding and respect for their traditions and values. As the new uniforms are introduced, they will symbolize the importance of cultural diversity and the strength that comes from embracing and celebrating our shared heritage.
