Kasiglahan Village Senior High School (KVSHS) proudly participated in the Simultaneous Flag Ceremony on Monday, July 6, 2026, in commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the 2016 South China Sea Arbitral Award.

The arbitral ruling was handed down on July 12, 2016, and emphasized that the Philippines can stand firm in defending its maritime rights through legal and peaceful means, as affirmed by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). It reminds us that protecting our seas safeguards food, jobs, and opportunities for every Filipino.

This ruling conveys one message: lawful, principled action matters, and a rule-based order benefits all nations.

On June 29, 2026, Monday, The Cocoon successfully held its 2nd General Assembly for Academic Year 2026–2027, headed by their School Paper Adviser, Mr. Wilmar Panag and Editor-in-Chief, Ms. Princess Nicole Lopez. The gathering provided a comprehensive review of the organization’s previous accomplishments, while also presenting future plans and assignments to guide its continued initiatives in campus journalism.

With clear direction and great purpose, this assembly affirmed The Cocoon’s continuous commitment to fostering publication collaboration, encouraging journalists’ commitment, and preparedness for what awaits ahead.

NEWS | 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

The Supreme Secondary Learner Government conducted the First Coordinating Council meeting on June 26, 2026, to discuss the General Plan of Action (GPOA) with all school organization student leaders and strand societies present.

The meeting was led by the SSLG president, Ashley Nicole San Jose with the guidance of their adviser, Sir Nicomedes Ocalino Jr. It aimed to present the GPOA of organizations and identify similar projects and activities to coordinate collaborations and avoid overlapping activities.

The organizations present were the SSLG, Cocoon, Banyuhay, Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O), Senior Plus Red Cross Youth (SPRCY), Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD), Peer Nurture Circle(PNC), Glee Club, and strand societies of ABM, STEM, HUMSS, ICT, and ALS.

The school principal, Ma'am Mila N. Ramirez also gave an inspirational message and shared suggestions for the collaboration of organizations for future year-round activities.

The meeting marks the start of better coordination between all school organizations to serve the students, and the school.
