Good Philippine! 300,000 Filipino Laborers Will Enter Employment in Mainland China
According to reports from the Philippine World Journal, the Labor Minister of the Philippines, Palau, said that the Philippines and China have signed an agreement to lift China’s restrictions on Filipino workers and are ready to accept 300,000 Filipinos for employment in China, including 100,000. English teacher.
Palau added that senior Philippine officials and Zhao Jianhua, the Chinese ambassador to the Philippines, signed a memorandum of understanding that stipulates that the Filipino teachers pay 1,500 U.S. dollars a month. The agreement covers details such as wage standards, related benefits, working hours, labor treatment, and labor protection against abuse.
According to Palau, the Chinese labor department is also recruiting Filipino cooks, caregivers, housekeeping staff, musicians and nurses, and added that Chinese families can now provide decent wages for Filipinos. “There is a great demand for English teachers in China. Chinese citizens all want their children to learn English. They lack sufficient teachers who can understand English. Families need English-speaking maids who can help their children learn. China’s aging population is also growing. Increase." Palau said that all Philippine will work in Beijing, Shanghai and three other major cities.
