Live Surgical Demonstration: Guided Crown Lengthening for Esthetic Rehabilitation

This lecture explores the integration of Digital Smile Design with digitally guided crown lengthening procedures, emphasizing a workflow that begins with facial analysis, digital photography, and intraoral scanning. Through advanced software planning, clinicians can visualize the ideal tooth proportions, gingival contours, and smile dynamics before initiating surgical intervention. Virtual treatment planning allows precise identification of biologic width considerations, gingival zenith positions, and the extent of soft- and hard-tissue modification required to achieve the desired esthetic outcome.

Participants will gain insight into the use of digital planning tools, surgical guides, and CAD/CAM technologies that improve procedural accuracy and enhance communication between the restorative dentist and the patient. Clinical cases will demonstrate how digital workflows can reduce guesswork, increase predictability, and streamline the transition from diagnosis to final restoration.
