Best Documentary 2026

The Philippine Vlogger Awards has officially trimmed down its list of 81 nominated Documentariat to a highly selective Top 40, who are now eligible for official voting. This prestigious shortlist recognizes content creators who have made a significant impact through documentary storytelling, Philippine history, mystery, investigative vlogging, cultural discoveries, and compelling stories about Filipino people and communities.

How the Rankings Were Calculated

To ensure a fair and transparent selection process, the awards committee assembled a panel of 19 expert judges from various sectors, including media, education, healthcare, and digital content strategy. Each judge submitted their personal Top 40 rankings, rating vloggers from 1st place (the highest) to 40th place.

Each rank was then assigned a weighted score:
• 1st Place = 99.90 points
• 2nd Place = 99.28 points
• 3rd Place = 98.66 points
• …
• 40th Place = 75.00 points

The final score for each vlogger was determined by averaging the weighted scores from all 19 judges, producing a comprehensive and data-driven ranking system.
