Exploring capabilities in the small hours of the morning last week. We had a boat in Batangas and I could follow it all the way there and back while having a coffee in the middle of Makati. We are live...! After keeping these hiding in a cupboard for a week the Shearwater Swift GPS is on our shelves this morning. For anyone who wants more than just air integration in their repertoire.. Know exactly where you have just been diving, and importantly…how to get back next time!
This version will work with any air integrated Shearwater computer, be it Peregrine TX, Perdix 2, Tern TX, Teric, Nerd 2 or Petrel 3. Just make sure you are running the latest Firmware on whatever you have and you will be set to go. To give you something further to investigate this Monday morning, download the new Dive Shearwater app which is where the GPS information recorded on your dive entries and exits will appear in your log, and allow you to see maps of all the places you’ve been to and highlight your favourites. If you’re using Shearwater Cloud to analyze detailed graphs of dive profiles, keep doing that for the time being, Cloud won’t be going away until all of those features have found their way into the new Dive Shearwater app.
