Stefi Marithe A. Aludo, a talented tennis player from Trento, Agusan del Sur, showcased her exceptional skills at the Lucena City Open Tennis Tournament. Competing against a tough field, Stefi captured the championship title in the Women’s Doubles category alongside her partner, Teniell Madis, and secured a silver medal in the Women’s Singles event. This impressive double-podium finish reflects her hard work and the expert guidance of her coach, Bobie Angelo.

Governor Santiago B. Cane Jr. and the entire province of Agusan del Sur express great pride in Stefi’s latest achievement. Her success brings immense honor to her hometown of Trento and serves as another inspiring reminder of the excellence of AgSurnon athletes on the national stage.

World-Class AgSurnon: Elias Tabac Breaks Into Top 10 at Spartan Ultra World Championship 2026

The AgSurnon spirit has once again made its mark on the global stage, proving that resilience and determination can carry our athletes to the highest peaks of international sports.

Representing the Philippines, Elias Tabac of P-4 Calaitan, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur, achieved an incredible milestone by finishing as the 9th Placer Overall at the prestigious Spartan Ultra World Championship 2026, held in Morzine, France, on July 3-5, 2026. Competing against the world's best, Elias conquered a brutal 50-kilometer course packed with 75 grueling obstacles. This monumental feat was made possible through his relentless discipline, guided by the expertise of his coach, Thumbie O. Remigio, and trainer, Gabriel De Guzman.

Governor Santi Barriga Cane Jr. and the entire province express their immense pride in Elias's achievement, which brings distinct honor to Agusan del Sur.

In the wake of his victory, Elias expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders who believed in his potential and provided unwavering support: Governor Cane, Bayugan City Mayor Kirk A. Asis, Congressman Alfelito M. Bascug (District 1), and Congressman Adolph Edward G. Plaza (District 2). Elias shared that without their strong backing, reaching this global milestone would not have been possible. His triumph is a beautiful reminder that when local talent is nurtured by strong leadership, our athletes can truly conquer the world.

Our very own boys just took home the GOLD MEDAL at the National Poomsae Taekwondo Championships 2026 held at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila!

Representing SF KICKERS TAEKWONDO GYM, these young athletes dominated the Poomsae Team, Cadet Boys - Blackbelt category:

📢 RESULTS ARE OUT!

The Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur, through the Sports Development Services (SDS), officially announces the results of the Datu Lipus Makapandong: AgSurnon Athletes' Selection, a data-driven profiling system that serves as the province's institutional mechanism to objectively evaluate homegrown talent across the province.

We congratulate our newly qualified athletes across eight disciplines: Arnis, Taekwondo, Pencak Silat, Karatedo, Swimming, Athletics, Table Tennis, and Badminton. Achieving "Priority Status" fast-tracks these selected athletes for high-performance tracks in regional, national, and international competitions. They will receive direct access to provincial sports subsidies, intensive coaching camps, sports science interventions, and dedicated medical and nutritional monitoring to bring pride and honor to Agusan del Sur.

Participants aged 8 to 16 grabbed the chance to showcase their skills and secure their spots in the first-ever comprehensive AgSurnon Athlete’s Profile. This initiative reflects our commitment to discipline and teamwork, showing that our dedication to the province extends far beyond the athletic arena.
