New Cebu High School Officially Launches 2026 ARAL Summer Reading and Remediation Classes

New Cebu High School successfully launched the 2026 ARAL Summer Reading and Remediation Classes on May 6, 2026 at the school’s covered court, gathering learners, parents, and teachers in support of quality education and literacy development.

The activity began with the arrival and registration of participants from 7:00 to 7:30 in the morning, followed by the opening program at 7:30 AM.

In his welcome remarks, Sir Larry N. Lanuza, Principal I emphasized the importance of the ARAL Program in helping learners strengthen their reading, comprehension, and numeracy skills during the summer break. He encouraged students to actively participate in the intervention classes and reminded parents that education is a shared responsibility between the school and the home.

The program also featured an overview of the ARAL Summer Reading and Remediation Program, including the presentation of its components, class schedules, and duration. Teachers and facilitators assigned to the program were formally introduced to the ARAL participants.

Parents and learners also listened to an orientation conducted by Sheryl M. Española, focusing on class rules and expectations, attendance and assessment guidelines, as well as the importance of parental involvement and support.

One of the highlights of the event was the commitment and pledge ceremony, where learners pledged to participate actively in the classes while parents and tutors expressed their commitment to support their children throughout the program.

The activity marked the beginning of another meaningful educational initiative aimed at improving literacy and learning outcomes among students of New Cebu High School.

The ARAL Summer Program reflects the school’s dedication to providing accessible and effective learning opportunities that help learners become more confident, capable, and academically prepared for the upcoming school year.
