With thanksgiving to the Almighty God, the Diocese of Oroquieta announces the 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙊𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 of the 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐧 𝐊𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐁. 𝐃𝐞𝐥 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫 and 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐒. 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨 through the Laying on of Hands and the Invocation of the Holy Spirit, to be conferred by 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐦 𝐘. 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐲, Bishop of Oroquieta, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, being the 𝙁𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙨, at Nine [9] o’clock in the morning at the Cathedral Church of Saint Mary, Iglesia Filipina Independiente, Oroquieta City, Philippines.

The 𝟏𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 concluded successfully!

“𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦.”

The Youth of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente, under the Diocesan Youth Executive Council from Oroquieta City had a succesful 16th Diocesan Summer Youth Camp with the theme: “𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱, 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦; ‘𝘉𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘺 𝘍𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘰 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘩, 𝘛𝘰𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘓𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦.” (𝘑𝘰𝘩𝘯 4:23/𝘌𝘱𝘩. 4:3) on April 21-24, 2025 at the Parish of Saint Isiodre the Toiler, Gil Sanchez, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte.

𝙊𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙙 𝙙𝙖𝙮 of camp, the morning session began with exercises led by the YIFI of the Oroquieta Deanery. This was followed by an Opening Eucharist officiated by Rev. Fr. Jovanikko Obnimaga, along with the Misamis Occidental clergy and pastoral workers.

Following Holy Mass, an icebreaker was led by the DYEC Vice President, Ms. Richmarie Bacani & facilitators. This was followed by Input 2, '𝘊𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘎𝘰𝘥'𝘴 𝘐𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘦: 𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩,' presented by Rev. Fr. Jestoni Lumasag. Workshops were then conducted.

In the afternoon session, 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙮 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩 & 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 were held.

In the evening session, 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙉𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 was started in a solemns altar buidling by the campers, featuring the symbols of the Bamboo Cross, White Cloth, Bible, Candles, Shawl, &Flowers.

A message of 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 was delivered by Rev. Fr. Jerome Sevilla and the YIFI President of Mamanga Daku Mission, Miss Adell Shane Nisnisan.

A message of 𝙏𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙮 was delivered by the Yifi of Oroquieta Deanery, Mr. Carl Jan Fernandez, Yifi of Calamba Deanery, Ms. Loriezhal Lorraine Agan.

This was followed by Mr. Kayle Jan Chan's 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙮 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝.

After that, the youth presented their slogan, recited their poem, and performed a role play.

Afterwards, Mr. Bejie M. Emperio, DYEC President, delivered his closing message.

The highlights of the Solidarty Night was the 𝘼𝙘𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 where each youth offer a silent prayer on a piece of paper, burned it in a shawl, and then the youth sang 'Kabataang Aglipayano' while signing the tarpaulin.

The event ended with photo opportunity.

Evening: The evening's highlight was the much-anticipated "Mr. and Ms. YIFI 2025" competition. This event likely served a multifaceted purpose, combining leadership development, community engagement, unity building, and the celebration of Filipino culture. It provided a platform to identify and nurture young leaders, showcase their talents and contributions to the church's mission, foster a stronger sense of community, and celebrate Filipino traditions, reflecting the IFI's nationalistic identity.

𝙊𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙖𝙮 of the camp, the event started in the afternoon an Opening Holy Eucharist officiated by the Right Reverend Victom Y Batoy together with the all Clergy and Pastoral Workers. The Rev. Fr. Jupelor Maglipac gave a welcome message and venue orientation to the delegates, and Mr. Bejie M. Emperio, DYEC President, presented the Statement of the Purpose and Camp Rules & Regulations.

This was followed by a Welcome night. The event ended with the performance of the Host Parish, and Labason Deanery.
