Day of Valor
Honoring the Brave A Legacy of Courage: A Tribute to those who stood for freedom
Day of Valor or Araw ng Kagitingan is a time to honor the bravery and sacrifices of Filipino soldiers who endured the Bataan Death March. Their strength and love for the country remind us of the importance of unity and resilience.
Today, we reflect on their heroism and express our gratitude by living with integrity, kindness, and a deep appreciation for our freedom.

โTaking a pause is not giving up โ itโs refueling so you can return stronger to what you love.โ
This Monday, Iโm stepping back into my passion: Airbnb & Short-Term Rental (STR) Bookkeeping. ๐
Itโs okay to slow down, breathe, and realign. What matters is that we donโt abandon our dreams โ we return to them with clarity, purpose, and our own pace. Progress doesnโt have to be fast to be meaningful.
Hereโs to moving forward again, wiser, steadier, and more focused than before. ๐

The rainy season teaches us an important business lesson. ๐ง๏ธ
When a typhoon comes, the people who prepared ahead of time โ with strong roofs, stocked supplies, and backup plans โ are the ones who make it through safely.
Business is no different.
For Airbnb hosts, short-term rental owners, and eCommerce health & beauty brands, unexpected storms will always come:
โก Sudden drop in bookings
โก Inventory delays
โก Rising expenses you didnโt see coming
The question is โ are your books strong enough to weather it?
Thatโs where good bookkeeping in Xero comes in.
โ
Clean numbers act as your foundation.
โ
Cash flow reports show if you can handle slow weeks.
โ
Forecasting helps you plan for โrainy daysโ before they arrive.
I started freelancing in 2019 and focused on Bookkeeping in 2022. Since then, Iโve learned that itโs not about avoiding the storm โ itโs about being prepared to stand strong through it.
โ So if youโre ready to make your business โstorm-proof,โ letโs connect.

How to fight financial stress in your business without going broke or burning outโฆ ๐งพโจ
I know what the usual advice is.
Iโve seen and heard it all โ just like you.
Most Airbnb hosts, short-term rental owners, and eCommerce health & beauty brands are told:
๐ โJust work harder.โ
๐ โTake on more bookings or launch more promos.โ
๐ โSpend more on ads to keep up with competitors.โ
But hereโs my advice as an Xero Bookkeeperโฆ
Itโs different.
โ
Start with your numbers.
Many business owners focus only on sales and revenue, but forget about profitability. Without clean books, youโll never know where the money is truly going.
โ
Track your cash flow.
Unlike ads or promos that stop working when you stop paying, having an accurate bookkeeping system in place sustains you in slow seasons. It shows what you can cut back on, whatโs overspending, and where you can save.
โ
Get visibility.
Just like SEO builds long-term visibility online, bookkeeping builds long-term clarity in your business. Once your numbers are structured, competitors canโt โbuy their wayโ into your financial insights. Thatโs your advantage.
Listenโฆ
You donโt need to exhaust yourself with endless marketing spend just to โfixโ your business. Sometimes, the smartest step is cleaning up your books, so you know exactly whatโs working โ and whatโs not.
Thatโs how you grow without going broke or burned out.

When I think about people who let their faith ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ข๐ซ ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐, Charlie Kirk comes to mind. His story reminds me that faith isnโt just a private belief โ itโs something that can shape the way we lead, serve, and impact the world around us.
Charlie often said his Christian faith was the most important thing in his life. He shared openly that he became a believer as a child, and as he grew older, his understanding of grace deepened. He was honest about not being perfect, admitting he โ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐จ๐,โ but thatโs exactly where faith comes in: not earning merit, but receiving it.
Through Turning Point USA and later Turning Point Faith, he went beyond politics or culture. He worked directly with pastors, young people, and families to anchor values in something deeper than opinions โ in biblical truth. And before his passing, he said that if people remembered just one thing about him, he wanted it to be his courage and faith.
Thatโs powerful. Because courage costs something. Itโs never easy to stand up publicly for what you believe in, especially when it isnโt popular. But Charlie did it anyway โ and in doing so, he encouraged others to be bold too.
Here are 3 lessons I take from his example:
1๏ธโฃ Faith fuels action. If you believe deeply in something, let it guide your work and voice, not just your private life.
2๏ธโฃ Authenticity builds trust. Charlie didnโt hide his flaws โ and that honesty made him relatable. In my own journey as a Virtual Bookkeeper, Iโve seen how being real with clients (instead of pretending everythingโs perfect) builds stronger connections.
3๏ธโฃ Courage leaves a legacy. Speaking up takes boldness, but that boldness inspires others to do the same.
For me, faith also plays a big role in how I serve my clients โ especially Airbnb hosts, short-term rental owners, and eCommerce health & beauty businesses. Bookkeeping may not be glamorous, but I see it as a calling: helping people find clarity, peace of mind, and freedom to focus on what matters most.
Charlie Kirkโs story is a reminder that faith and work are not separate. They can walk hand in hand โ shaping not only what we do, but how we do it.
