For her 60th birthday, Tita Malou, mother of my good friend Mia, organized a medical mission in Antipolo to celebrate this special year and give back to the community. Below is her account on what transpired during that important day:

“Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, you do it to Me.” After various preparations for this half day event, friends from all walks of life gather together to visit the community of Sitio San Joseph, Barangay San Jose, Antipolo…for a Medical Mission. Each of us volunteered as part of the registration, taking vitals, assisting the doctors, dispensing medicines, entertaining the children, serving food, distributing give aways, taking photos. The event started with the Liturgy of the Word and communion service with our volunteer Lectors, Commentator, Homilist and the Music Ministry, followed by the consultation with our volunteer Medical Team. We thank the Lord for leading us to this community to share our blessings. May this continue to inspire us in helping our less fortunate brothers and sisters, in every way we can. - Malou Santos
