Apparently, lawyers do touch grass. 😭🚶‍♂️

Last Friday evening, May 15, members of the RSM Walking Group and Cat Parents Group teamed up with Cats of Ortigas for a walk around Ortigas Center that turned into a full RSM crossover episode. 😂

The agenda?

🚶 get our steps in
🐈 feed community cats
🍜 and of course… end the night with dinner because the Foodies Group somehow always finds its way into the plans anyway. 😅

Honestly, this is exactly the kind of community we want to build in RSM.

Yes, we work hard. Yes, we take the profession seriously. But we also believe lawyers deserve spaces where they can unwind, connect, laugh, and enjoy shared interests outside of hearings, deadlines, and “pls see attached” emails.

So consider this the official hard launch of the growing RSM Hobby & Interest Groups:

Because sometimes the best chapter conversations happen outside the courtroom. During walks. Over dinner. While feeding cats. Or while debating where to eat next. 😭

May 16, 2026 | Session 4

Another meaningful session for the Youth Policy Builders Lab (YPBL) as our young policy builders engaged with conversations on law, leadership, service, and the realities of practice.

The IBP Rizal–RSM Chapter proudly thanks two of our own for sharing their time and insights with the participants:

Atty. Matthew Casis, Deputy Director for Labor, and
Atty. Carlo Viel D. Saplan, Deputy Director for Clinical Legal Education and Practice (CLEP).

Through their discussions and mentorship, our participants were reminded that policy work is not only about systems and institutions, but also about service, responsibility, and people.

Week by week, the conversations grow deeper.
And so does the work.

Their voice. Their ideas. Their time to build.

Congratulations to our very own Rizal Sound Movement for proudly bringing home 2nd Runner-Up honors at BandTURANZA 2026!

To the IBP Batangas Chapter and IBP Quezon Chapter, congratulations as well on an incredible showing, and to all the participating chapters and bands, thank you for making the night unforgettable through music, fellowship, and pure Southern Luzon energy.

We also extend our congratulations and appreciation to our Southern Luzon Regional Governor, Atty. Thaddeus “Thaddy” Venturanza, for successfully bringing the Region together through an event that celebrated not only talent, but chapter pride and camaraderie.

And to everyone who supported Rizal Sound Movement all throughout the night — ramdam namin kayo. 🫰
