True freedom is not simply doing what we want. It is being free from the things that pull us away from God: materiality, ego, selfishness, self-centeredness, and sin.

As Mr. Jacinto C. Ng, Jr. shared in his June 2026 Culture Day GEO Talk, we are called to be free from self-interest so we can follow God more fully and love one another the same way Christ loves us.

May today’s JQ remind us to lead with humility, serve with sincerity, and choose love in the way we work and live.

At our June 2026 Culture Day Soul Session, Dr. Maria Elisa Mariles-Borja guided the Joy~Nostalg family through a deeply reflective conversation on what it means to be Free to Follow God. She reminded us that freedom is not about choosing whatever we want. It is about choosing what is good, consistently and faithfully, until we become the best version of ourselves.

Her closing invitation stays with us: do your best. And allow God to work alongside you in doing the rest. 💛
