The Philippines and Japan have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at strengthening collaboration on personal data protection and privacy enforcement amid increasing cross-border data flows.

The agreement was signed on Monday, June 1, in Tokyo by the National Privacy Commission and Japan’s Personal Information Protection Commission (PPC).
