This project reimagines Laoag International Airport as a cultural gateway that blends Ilocano heritage with contemporary design. Inspired by the flowing forms of the La Paz Sand Dunes and vernacular architecture such as the bahay kubo and bahay na bato, the design integrates sustainable strategies, modern materials, and smart systems to create a welcoming and experiential space. Developed as a collaborative project, it reflects both the spirit of departure and the warmth of returning home while celebrating local culture and identity.
