There are a lot of messianic prophecies in the Old Testament and one of which is in Isaiah 9:6. The verse puts an emphasis on a Son that will be born who will become the true King. This King is given four titles which encapsulate the nature of God—Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

All of which Jesus perfectly lived and fulfilled.

𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐦! 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡🙌

Today we let's be reminded that our lives as a Christian does not begin with strength—it begins with surrender. We come before God not as whole, but as broken; not as righteous, but in need of mercy. And yet, this is exactly where grace meets us. Scripture says in 2 Corinthian 12:9 ESV,

“𝑀𝑦 𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑠 𝑠𝑢𝑓𝑓𝑖𝑐𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑦𝑜𝑢, 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑚𝑦 𝑝𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑖𝑠 𝑚𝑎𝑑𝑒 𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑓𝑒𝑐𝑡 𝑖𝑛 𝑤𝑒𝑎𝑘𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠...”

This is the paradox of the Gospel: 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗿—it is the very place where God’s strength is revealed.

𝗜𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘄𝘀, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲. Not sustained by our ability, but by His mercy. And the more we recognize our need, the more we experience His power at work within us. So today, don’t hide your weakness—bring it before Him. Because those who are drenched in His grace will never lack the strength to keep going.
