Here’s a video of DAY6 listening to the song I composed and co-wrote for them. 🥲❤️

“You’re the day that I choose as my everyday.”

This was just a line I wrote in verse 2, but it became something more. Before I knew it, it was nominated and voted as the main hand banner quote.

That changed everything.

From there, I had to rewrite the lyrics with the quote as the main focus, while adjusting it further based management’s guidelines (cutting it down from 1min+ to just 40 seconds).

It was a challenging yet fulfilling experience. Live Nation PH & JYP Entertainment’s approval made it all worth it. 🥲

I’ve been an active fangirl since I was 13 (now in my 30s), volunteering for street teams, fan clubs, & support groups. Through it all, one thing stays true: when you participate in a fan project out of genuine love, the experience is always fulfilling, no matter the outcome.💙

Of course, this wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my fellow My Day: Kyla, Mars Firmalo, and Justine Mercado. Their inputs helped shaped these lyrics into what they are now.

More than anything, I’ve always wanted to write songs that are meaningful, heartfelt, and deeply relatable. I can only hope that this song has touched the hearts of DAY6 and my fellow My Day… kahit mabilisan 3hrs composing and 30-min recording lang ginawa ko.

The song was mixed by Joya! She did such a good job in adding more magic to it, by including her beautiful 2nd voice.

I can’t wait for the full song production. Stoked to work with more My Days!
