Morning breaks open in gold,
and the grass lifts its heads to look.
A woman steps through light and wind,
like a page from an old storybook.

Fringe speaks first before words can,
every strand catching the sun.
Beadwork carries maps of memory,
stitch by stitch, lesson by lesson, done.

Birds cut across the bright air,
not circling, just going where they must.
That is the kind of freedom we recognize,
clean direction, no extra fuss.

Her chin is raised, not for pride,
but because the day deserves respect.
A strong spirit does not shout.
It stands. It breathes. It reflects.

This is what beauty looks like with purpose.
Not perfect, not posed, not small.
A living reminder in full color
that we are still here through it all.

So when the world tries to lower our eyes,
remember this field, this fire, this gold.
