Pru Life UK - Official like other life insurance companies is governed by Republic Act No. 10607 or the Insurance Code of the Philippines (https://www.officialgazette.gov.ph/2013/08/15/republic-act-no-10607/) and since policies are considered contracts, it’s also covered by the Civil Code. 💯

One of the Insurance Code’s interesting provision is the constestability and incontestability period which is an exception to the Civil Code. Sa lahat ng klase ng kontrata sa Pilipinas, THIS PROVISION IS SPECIAL AND ONE OF A KIND! 😍

It starts from the date of issuance and lasts for a duration of 2 years. This is the period that allows the insurer to further verify the claim, thus some documents are needed to process it. Dito na talaga ang work naming mga financial consultants / advisors. Kaya choose your financial life partner wisely! 😉

To protect the insured or the clients, the policy becomes INCONTESTABLE regardless of any mistake, fraud, concealment or misrepresentation. Grabe ‘yong protection na ‘to sa mga client. THIS IS THE STRONGEST PROTECTION FOR A POLICYHOLDER AND BENEFICIARY! 💪 Under the law, it may only be contested in the ground of nonpayment of premiums.
