[ATM] Davao del Norte State College commenced the 1st Survey Visit for the Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry (BSAF) and Master in Information Technology (MIT) programs by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP, Inc.) earlier today. The evaluation process will run until May 22, 2026.

We welcome the AACCUP Survey Team, coordinated by Dr. Jennifer G. Fronda, joined by BSAF accreditors, Prof. Carmelito C. Valdez (Team Leader) and Dr. Shierel F. Vallesteros, MIT accreditors, Dr. Jesus S. Paguigan (Team Leader) and Dr. Sheryl May D. Lainez, and Library Accreditor, Prof. Vikylyn A. Guieb, as they assess the programs’ quality and standards.

College President Joy M. Sorrosa encouraged the participants, stating, “We recognize that this evaluation unfolds amid challenges, economic, political, and social. Some may ask: is it worth striving for excellence in such times? The answer is a resounding yes. For if we stop, who will continue to make the difference? It is still us, the academe, who shape students into responsible, capable, and compassionate citizens of our country and the world.”

We appreciate the thorough preparations undertaken by our local task forces for this accreditation. May this endeavor guide our programs toward a path of continuous improvement and excellence.
