The DTI Bagwis Award is a program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) that recognizes retail establishments that uphold consumer rights and practice responsible business. Establishments with Bagwis seal are evaluated based on their compliance with fair trade laws, customer relations, and social responsibility.

DTI Region 3 - Central Luzon

LOOK | In line with the implementation of Executive Order No. 118, s. 2026, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Zambales, through its Consumer Protection Division, intensifies its price and supply monitoring of imported rice in Subic, Zambales on June 16, 2026.

Under EO 118 issued by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., a temporary nationwide price ceiling of ₱50.00 per kilogram is mandated for imported (5% broken) rice to protect consumers from artificial price spikes and unfair market practices.

The DTI Zambales team continues to actively inspect groceries and supermarkets to ensure strict compliance, verify price tags, and guarantee that rice remains accessible.
