Today, we proudly celebrate the 128th Philippine Independence Day, paying tribute to the bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering determination of Filipinos who fought for our nation’s freedom. Their struggle serves as a reminder that independence was not given freely but was achieved through resilience, unity, and a profound love for our homeland.

As we observe this significant milestone, let us honor their legacy not just through remembrance but also through our actions. We must continue to embody the values of patriotism, responsibility, and service as we strive together for a stronger and more progressive Philippines.

Freedom is a precious gift handed down by those who came before us. Let us treasure it, safeguard it, and utilize it to create a future that honors their sacrifices.

𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗕𝗘𝗬𝗢𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬

On June 2, 2026, student leaders from Gordon College gathered at the Function Hall for the second day of the seminar, Rising Above Barriers, entitled "𝑺𝒂𝒇𝒆 𝑺𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒔, 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔: 𝑨𝒅𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚”.

The event was led by Mr. Christopher S. Sicat, Unit Head, University NSTP-CWTS of Pampanga State University. Through his meaningful discussions and insightful perspectives, students leaders were encouraged to recognize that effective leadership extends beyond influence and authority. It is about fostering environments where individuals feel safe, respected, heard, and empowered regardless of their background, identity, or experiences.

As student leaders, we hold the responsibility of cultivating inclusive communities that promote understanding, respect, and equality. The knowledge and values shared during this session serve as a reminder that transformative leadership begins with empathy and the commitment to create spaces where everyone can thrive.
