The City Government of Davao has ordered the suspension of classes in all levels in both public and private schools in Davao City Tuesday, February 13, 2018, because of Tropical Storm Basyang.

SEVERE WEATHER BULLETIN #8 for Tropical Storm Basyang issued at 8 pm, 12 February 2018, declares that scattered to widespread moderate to heavy rains will prevail in the next 24 hours over Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao — which can affect Davao City.

However, there will be no suspension of government work at the LGU level. Cancellation of work in the private sector is at the discretion of the employers.

Residents in flood and landslide-prone areas are urged to be always on the alert and prepare for preemptive evacuation if necessary. Please use your best judgment if you feel that there is a need to conduct your voluntary evacuation.
