Praise Update! — IVCF is now officially recognized by BiPSU as a student organization! We praise the Lord for His favor upon us throughout the entire process.

We began processing our accreditation requirements at the start of School Year 2026 in August last year. Shortly after the Regional Leadership Summit (RLS), which our area hosted, God raised student leaders for the campus. The training our students received during the RLS—particularly in Scripture engagement, facilitating group discussions, new student outreach, and more—equipped them to plan activities for the entire school year, including the accreditation application. It also enabled them to establish several small group fellowships and large group gatherings on campus.

By God’s grace, we were able to meet the minimum required number of members to qualify for accreditation. And, with the able support and encouragement of our staff adviser, Kuya Richard de Leon, we were able to connect with the right university officials in pursuit of accreditation.

We are equally grateful for the support of the local Christian community in Biliran. Their prayers, encouragement, and continued partnership helped us carry out our mission to disciple students for Christ.

On February 13, 2026, IVCF BiPSU Naval joined the annual Student Organizations Day for the very first time. Held at the university’s Student Center, the event featured a campus parade highlighting the unity of recognized student organizations, a booth fair, and Laro ng Lahi—all of which we gladly and proudly participated in. Our booth, in particular, gave us the opportunity not only to introduce the fellowship but also to share the love of Jesus with the university community. We featured a prayer wall where students could share their prayer requests. One student leader shared that the experience was both challenging and fulfilling.

We praise the Lord for this wonderful milestone He granted us this school year. Two years since we began pioneering the ministry in BiPSU Naval, we truly resonate with what the early believers experienced in Acts 2:47:

“…praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.”

Please continue to pray for us and with us as we share Jesus Christ with the entire university community this school year and beyond. And that we may become excellent stewards of the recognition He has given us and the favor He has graciously allowed us to experience and enjoy this school year.

To God be all the glory!

Last December 19, 2025, we held our IV Day celebration in the area for the very first time at The Lion’s Gate Church. It also marked our first anniversary since being established as a pioneering area of the IVCF Central and Eastern Visayas Regional Unit (CEVRU). The event was attended by 40 high school and university students from four schools, including the lone university in the area, Biliran Province State University. Twelve graduates, including three staff workers from CEVRU, were also present.

Ate Belinda Basas shared a short yet powerful exhortation based on Genesis 41:37–40. True to the core of the fellowship, everyone enjoyed and was blessed by the small group discussions that followed the message.

The first IV Day celebration in Biliran was made even more meaningful through the recognition given to the individuals and institutions who have extended their support to the ministry since day one. By God’s grace, the support we received from our ministry partners enabled us to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to students across three campuses this year and train and journey ~77 students this semester. Four active small group fellowships have been established in BiPSU Naval campus and two small groups are actively meeting weekly in Naval National High School. We are also gearing up for our first-ever graduates ministry program early next year.

We are grateful to the Lord for all the churches, graduates, volunteers, donors, and student leaders who stepped up and answered the call to reach out to the students in Biliran.

We pray that more students and graduates will be added to the fellowship as we remain faithful to the mission God has entrusted to us here in our area.

Happy first anniversary, kaIVgan! Happy IV Day, IVCF Biliran! 💛💚💙♥️

ICYMI - IVCF Biliran Area held its Year 2 Prison Visit in partnership with MEANS USA at the Naval District Jail (BJMP) facility on December 15, 2025.

Close to 140 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) received gift bags containing 10 sachets of instant coffee, one face towel, two bars of bath soap, two sachets of toothpaste, three sachets of shampoo, and eight packs of sanitary pads for the female PDLs. The students also sang Christmas songs, and a timely exhortation from the Word of God was delivered by Ptr. Jesster Damiago of Christ Baptist Church in Naval.

We praise the Lord for allowing us to hold this activity again this year and for reminding us of His Word in Matthew 25:36.

This year’s visit was made extra special not only because of the testimonies we heard from the PDLs, but also because of the parol we received from them—a humble gesture of their appreciation.

Scan through the photos and videos below to read the testimonies of the students who joined this year.

Once again, we thank the officials of Naval District Jail for allowing us to hold this year’s gift giving activity with our student and graduate volunteers. And we are likewise thankful to our friends and partners from MEANS USA for their continued support to us towards this annual activity. Thank you, MEANS!!! 🫶

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. -Isaiah 9:6

Gikan sa amoa diri sa Biliran, usa ka mainiton ug malipayon nga pagbati niining Paskoa, kaIVgan! Let’s all rejoice and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ! 💛💚💙♥️

We had our officers’ treat and year-end fellowship this afternoon. This was made extra special because our staff adviser joined with us. Thank you for your time, kuya Richard! 🫶

God truly spoke to each one of us in unique ways through the two major activities we recently held—the prison visit and our first IV Day celebration.

✅ During the prison visit, a common theme emerged: we were all deeply blessed by how the PDLs responded to the Word and to our expressions of compassion toward them.

✅ For the IV Day celebration, the theme was growth and harvest. A year since IVCF was pioneered here in Biliran, we witnessed how God has exponentially grown the number of students being ministered to through ISCF and IVCF in the province.

We are all excited for next year! Our campus chapter in Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) is now gearing up for:
1️⃣ Monthly large group fellowships beginning January 2026
2️⃣ Weekly small group fellowships
3️⃣ Area annual retreat, evaluation, and planning
4️⃣ Fundraising for our DLTC and Kawayan Camp delegates next year 🙌

We concluded our fellowship this afternoon with a prayer led by kuya Richard.

⭐️ Interested of being a part of a friendly and accommodating community of students and graduates in BiPSU Naval? Send us a message and we’ll be more than excited and happy to welcome you to the fellowship.

This Christmas season, IVCF Biliran is once again bringing hope and encouragement to our brothers and sisters inside the Naval District Jail (BJMP Naval). Now on our second year, we will be visiting 140 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) to share the joy of Christmas and remind them of the unfailing love of Jesus Christ. As explained in Matthew 25:36, we desire to make each PDL feel seen, valued, and remembered.

Through our simple program and the gifts prepared for them, we pray that each one will feel seen, valued, and loved. May this visit be a light that inspires hope and renewal in their hearts. Please pray with and for us as we prepare for this meaningful activity. We also hope and pray to minister to the officials and staff of the said facility.

This year’s activity is in partnership with MEANS USA. We are equally grateful to everyone behind MEANS for making this activity possible.
