LOOK | The PEST D-TECH Team successfully concluded a seminar titled "Makabagong Sistema ng Pagbabantay sa Pananim Gamit ang Drone, Machine Learning, at Nanobiopesticide" on March 19, 2026, at the CLIRDEC Function Hall, CLSU. The seminar was attended by farmers from the municipalities of San Manuel and Camiling, Tarlac, and Bongabon and San Jose City, Nueva Ecija. The event allowed participants to gain firsthand knowledge of modern pest monitoring and management, specifically focusing on the detection of Fall Armyworm (FAW) and Curvularia leaf spots. Furthermore, the session highlighted the use of nanobiopesticides as an innovative and eco-friendly solution to combat "harabas" (Fall Armyworm), providing farmers with more effective and sustainable crop protection strategies.

LOOK | PEST D-Tech Conducts Lecture on Drone Technology and Machine Learning for Immersion Students

The PEST D-Tech Team held a lecture and hands-on session on the fundamentals of drone technology and machine learning for the immersion students from ASKI Skills and Knowledge Institute Inc and Sto. Domingo National Trade School on November 20, and 26, 2025.

The seminar covered key concepts related to the project including how drone works, its components, and their practical applications. The discussion also highlighted how machine learning enhances the drone operations particularly in precision agriculture, as well as pest and disease monitoring.

Students were further engaged through hands-on drone assembly and a live demonstration of drone flight, applying the knowledge they gained from the lecture.

This initiative aims to expose immersion students to real-world technological applications and to deepen their understanding of how modern tools can strengthen the development of agricultural practices while promoting environmental stewardship toward progressive and sustainable agriculture.
