Iloilo City is set to host its first-ever Art in the Park on October 23–25, 2026 at La Paz Plaza, as part of the Iloilo Arts Festival 2026, carrying the theme:

Arts in Our Plaza: Open Spaces, Shared Stories.

The three-day celebration aims to bring art closer to the people by transforming an everyday public space into a vibrant venue for creativity, culture, expression, and community stories.

The festival will feature nine art forms architecture, cinema, dance, dramatic arts, fashion design, gastronomy, literary arts, music, and visual arts with artists and exhibitors showcasing the many ways Ilonggo creativity continues to thrive.

Visitors can look forward to a Visual Arts Exhibition at the La Paz Plaza pavement area from 10 AM to 9 PM, a Food Festival along Jereos Street from 3 PM to 9 PM, featuring 10 mobile food vendors, and nightly full-band performances from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

The celebration continues on October 24 with Eksena sa Barangay at La Paz Gym and Eksena sa Iloilo at the Delfin Jaranilla Center, together with the festival’s Opening Program at 3 PM on the main stage.

On October 25, the public can enjoy a fashion show at the koi pond area, Ballet Manila’s “Ibong Adarna,” and an outdoor film showing. Outdoor busking will also add live music and performances around the plaza on October 23 and 25.

The festival also extends beyond the three-day Art in the Park. Eksena Workshops will take place on October 9, while the ICFest Film Festival will run from October 14–18 at Festive Walk Mall, featuring 37 short films and two full-length Ilonggo films, all with free admission.

During the press conference, Jay Treñas, Executive Assistant, and Raymund “Munding” Salao, Festival Director of IC Fest, shared details about the upcoming activities and the city’s continuing efforts to provide platforms where Ilonggo artists, filmmakers, performers, creatives, and communities can share their stories.

From the plaza to the big screen, Iloilo Arts Festival 2026 celebrates creativity in spaces where people naturally gather. It is an invitation for Ilonggos and visitors alike to experience art not only inside galleries and theaters, but also in the heart of the community.

See you at La Paz Plaza
