Preaching of the Word of God.

Its not our words or our life story (mo matter how good and moving it is) will save and transform a person, it is the Faithful and clear teaching of God’s Word, the Scriptures!

Let not the preacher of Gods word be an entertainer, a clown, a motivator or a coach, in the pulpit but instead study to show ourselves as a preacher unashamed and approved by God who teach the word of God carefully and faithfully. It is not about us or our “ministry” or our accomplishments that convicts men and women to return to God, it is the Holy Spirit testifying and manifesting the Word of God!

It is the Word of God that remains true in the highs and lows of life. Heaven and earth will fail but Gods word will never fail.

Never join the plethora of so called “inspirational” preachers and teachers that preach about themselves, their accomplishments and use the “word of God” to make it a biblical preaching! Go back to the Bible. Go back to the faithful preaching of the Word!

Psalm 51:10-12
10 mCreate in me a nclean heart, O God,
and orenew a right2 spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from your presence,
and take not qyour Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit.
- Written by David when his sin has been exposed by prophet Nathan.
- Spiritual renewal is a transformative process that Christian embark upon to revive their spiritual life.
It is impossible to have spiritual renewal without the help of God.
Lessons From David's Repentance:
1. Prayed to God to create him a clean heart. V. 10a Ezekiel 36:26
○ Acknowledgement of sins.
§ Did not use blame game strategy.
§ Did not pretend innocent.
When God reveal our sins, we have to acknowledge it.
2. Renew a steadfast spirit within me
V. 10b firm, immovable and unshakable spirit.
○ Acknowledge that only God can fix the broken pieces of our lives.
3. Do not cast me from your presence
Take not your Holy Spirit from me v. 11
○ Acknowledge that the hardest part of our Christian life is to be far away from God's presence.
○ In God's presence you have everything you need. God's favor within you.
○ Colossians 2:10
○ In Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head
4. Restore to me the joy of my salvation. V. 12a
○ David is asking that he would again have the fellowship with God.
○ Salvation is a joyful experience.
5. Grant me a willing Spirit to sustain me
○ Right Spirit - not our will, but a spirit who submits.
○ Desire to please God.
○ Accept the ways of the Lord.
○ Luke 22:42
Personal renewal is impossible to do without the power of God working in us and through Christ.
