Elementary readers discovering knowledge through Gale e-books

Library time is a world of wonder for young minds, where every book opens a new adventure, imagination grows, and learning becomes fun. ☺️

Elementary pupils were glad upon seeing these new acquired books on the shelf and excitedly borrow them to bring at home.😊

It is FEB-IBIG MONTH! Love must be express at all times among our family, parents, friends, colleagues and to someone special in your heart. If you cannot speak directly, then write it in our Confession Wall. Who knows, he/she can read and will also inspire others and put a smile in their hearts.🥰

Day 4. Nov.7, 2025

It was an exciting day for Elementary pupils for it is their time to celebrate the National Book Week.
The academic librarian gave an inspirational talk on the benefits of reading for young learners and teach them on how to appreciate literature.
D.E.A.R (Drop Everything and Read) activity then followed where they shared their appreciation on the physical features of the book and emotions when they read silently to understand the story they are reading.
Storytelling sessions were conducted by Ma'am Michelle Macarandan and Sarah Dialane, a BEED student library assistant.
Quiz and Spelling Bee were participated by Grades 4-6.
The most anticipated part of the program was the rewarding of Top 3 book borrowers for SY 2024-2025. They were delighted on the book they received and other educational items.
Snacks was then served to complete their fun and learning experience in the library.

The Elementary Library Orientation was conducted on September 19,2025 at the College Library. The librarian showed to the pupils on how to navigate the Gale Elementary Online Database. They were curious on how to avail the e-books and stored them on their electronic gadgets. After the lecture, they had a word relay game which they enjoyed and shared their learnings out from the activity.
We are so glad that the pupils started to establish their book loans figures increasing and they kept on coming back to the library to borrow for more good reads.
Each grade level had their library time schedule once a week and we prepared exciting activities for them to engage more on reading and learning while having fun.
