Moderate to Heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over (Madridejos, SantaFe, Medellin, SanFrancisco, Poro, Tudela), (Looc, Lubang, Magsaysay, SanJose), (Rizal, SofronioEspanola, Dumaran, Araceli, Culion, Busuanga, Coron), (Bato, Matalom, Hilongos, Hindang, Inopacan), (TomasOppus, Libagon, SaintBernard, SanJuan, Anahawan and Hinundayan) within the next 30 minutes to an hour.
The above conditions are being experienced in (Daanbantayan, Bantayan, Pilar), (CityOfBayawan, Basay, Pamplona, Sibulan), (Paluan, AbraDeIlog, Mamburao), (PuertoPrincesaCity, Aborlan, Narra, Quezon, Balabac, SanVicente, Roxas, ElNido, Taytay, Linapacan), (Calubian, SanIsidro, Merida, Isabel, Palompon, MatagOb, Villaba, Tabango, Leyte, Albuera, CityOfBaybay), (Sogod, Bontoc, Silago and Hinunangan) which may persist within 1 to 2 hours and may affect nearby areas.
All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides. Keep monitoring for updates.

As of 2:00 PM today, 29 June 2026, the Low Pressure Area (LPA 06d) is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and now has a "HIGH" chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

𝗠𝗗𝗥𝗥𝗠𝗖 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗗𝗥𝗔 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀
Today, the MDRRMC of Matag-ob, Leyte, together with several BDRRMC Chairpersons, convened to conduct a Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) in response to the forecasted heavy rainfall over Leyte due to the Low Pressure Area (LPA), which may cause flooding and rain-induced landslides.
Based on the assessment, the Municipal Mayor recommended the activation of the LGU Response System under Alert Level 2, activating the Incident Management Team (IMT), Emergency Operations Center (EOC), and Response Clusters to undertake pre-disaster preparedness measures.
Barangays were likewise advised to activate their respective IMTs and prepare for the worst-case scenario.
The Council also discussed the institutionalization of the Municipal El Niño Action Plan and finalized preparations for the upcoming National Disaster Resilience Month activities.
