Continuing our commitment to effective public service. SB Members of LGU Maria participated in the Leveraging Quasi-Judicial webinar on November 18, 2025, held at the Municipal Conference Hall. 🤝📘

The Sangguniang Bayan Members of the Municipality of Maria officially took part in the Local Legislation and Parliamentary Procedure Training Seminar held last November 14–16, 2025 at Bethel Guest House, Dumaguete City. This three-day capacity development initiative aimed to further strengthen the legislative competence of local elected officials and enhance their understanding of parliamentary rules, ethical conduct, and effective decision-making mechanisms within the local legislative environment.

Throughout the duration of the training, participants engaged in in-depth discussions, lectures, and practical exercises highlighting key areas such as:
📌 The nature and foundation of local legislation
📌 Duties, responsibilities, and ethical standards of elected officials
📌 Parliamentary rules, motions, and session protocols
📌 Drafting effective ordinances and resolutions
📌 Strengthening legislative processes for transparent and accountable governance

The activity also provided a venue for meaningful collaboration, exchange of insights, and learning from experienced legal practitioners and governance experts, contributing significantly to the improvement of legislative effectiveness and community-responsive policy-making.

By attending this seminar, the Sangguniang Bayan of Maria reaffirms its commitment to uphold excellence in public service and to continuously improve local governance systems for the benefit of the entire community. With strengthened knowledge and renewed dedication, the SB Members stand ready to implement more effective, lawful, and people-centered legislation as stewards of public trust.

The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials of the Municipality of Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental paid a courtesy visit to the DILG Siquijor Provincial Operations Office on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Polangyuta, Siquijor, Siquijor.

The officers and staff of DILG Siquijor warmly welcomed the delegation, who were accompanied by LGU functionaries and Sinacaban MLGOO Chuchi Marie L. Igar.

The SK officials are in the Province of Siquijor as part of their Cross-Border Cultural, Educational, and Continuing Professional and Leadership Skills Development Program.
