Janice de Belen opened up about her thoughts on her daughter Kaila's relationship, admitting that while she may have her concerns as a mother, her ultimate wish is simply to see her children happy.

During her interview with Tito Boy Abunda, the veteran actress shared that she was initially surprised by Kaila's relationship but emphasized that she respects her daughter's happiness and choices. According to Janice, parents naturally want the best for their children, and seeing them genuinely happy is often enough reason to support their decisions.

Janice also acknowledged that she will always have some reservations as a mother. She explained that any misgivings she may have come from a place of love and concern, as no parent wants to see their child get hurt or go through unnecessary hardships.

Janice de Belen opened up about how she handles controversies involving her children, admitting that as a mother, she cannot help but step in when necessary.

During her interview with Tito Boy Abunda, Janice shared that when her daughter Ina became involved in a public controversy, she immediately reached out and told her what she believed was wrong. However, after giving her advice, she chose to step back and allow her daughter to reflect on the situation herself.

According to Janice, she is no longer the type of parent who delivers lengthy lectures. Instead, she prefers to say what needs to be said and trust her children to process it on their own.

She recalled that after speaking to Ina about the issue, she never brought it up again and avoided discussing the controversy further. When the matter eventually died down, Janice simply reminded her daughter to be more careful moving forward.

The veteran actress emphasized that while she will always offer guidance when needed, she also understands the importance of giving her children space to learn from their own experiences and decisions.

"You wait for the right time, and that's God's time," saad niya.

Janice.

King Reyes shared that his life took a dramatic turn after finding faith in Jesus Christ, saying it completely changed the direction of his life.
During his conversation with Toni Gonzaga, King revealed that he once lived a worldly lifestyle and only later realized that he was heading toward spiritual destruction. He expressed gratitude that despite his disobedience, God reached out to him, lifted him up, and saved him.
According to King, the greatest gift a person can receive is eternal life through Christ. He emphasized that once someone has received that gift, there is nothing in the world that can compare to it. Because of this transformation, King said his mission now is to faithfully finish the race that the Lord Jesus Christ has set before him and continue sharing the Good News of Salvation—a gift he believes God freely offers to everyone.

During pregnancy, many women notice that their skin becomes darker, especially in the armpits, neck, groin, ni***es, and inner thighs, and that their hands, feet, and face may appear swollen or larger. These changes are usually caused by normal pregnancy hormones and body changes.

1. Increased Melanin Production (Darker Skin)

Pregnancy increases hormones such as estrogen, progesterone, and MSH (melanocyte-stimulating hormone). These hormones tell the skin to produce more melanin, the pigment that gives skin its color.

This can cause:

Darker armpits

Darker neck

Darker ni***es and areolas

Dark line on the belly (linea nigra)

Dark patches on the face (melasma or "pregnancy mask")

2. Insulin Resistance and Skin Darkening

Pregnancy naturally makes the body more resistant to insulin. In some women, this can lead to darker, velvety skin around:

The neck

Armpits

Groin

This is called acanthosis nigricans and can be more noticeable if the mother gains significant weight or develops gestational diabetes.

3. Fluid Retention (Swelling of Hands and Feet)

The body holds much more water during pregnancy to support the baby, placenta, and increased blood volume.

This can make:

Fingers look thicker

Hands swell

Feet appear larger

Ankles become puffy

Many women even need larger shoe sizes during pregnancy.

4. Weight Gain and Increased Fat Storage

Pregnancy hormones encourage the body to store energy for the growing baby and breastfeeding.

Fat is commonly stored in:

Hips

Thighs

Arms

Face

Abdomen

This is a normal biological process and helps support the pregnancy.

5. Increased Blood Volume and Hormonal Changes

Blood volume can increase by 30–50% during pregnancy. Combined with hormonal effects, this can make tissues retain more fluid and appear fuller.

As a result:

Hands may look bigger

Feet may widen

Face may become rounder

Rings may become tight

Will It Go Away After Pregnancy?

For most women:

Swelling improves within days to weeks after delivery.

Much of the skin darkening fades over several months.

Some areas (especially ni***es and linea nigra) may remain slightly darker than before pregnancy.

Weight loss varies and often takes months after childbirth.

If swelling is sudden, severe, or accompanied by high blood pressure, headache, or vision changes, it should be checked by a doctor immediately because it can be a sign of preeclampsia.

Ang Calm niyang nanay. ☺️

Jenine Desiderio revealed that she somehow sensed Janella Salvador was pregnant even before her daughter personally told her.

During her interview with Aster Amoyo, Jenine shared that she has always had a strong intuition when it comes to her daughter. According to her, whenever something important is happening in Janella's life, she often feels it even before Janella opens up about it.

Jenine recalled that when Janella called her to talk, she already had a feeling about what her daughter wanted to say. As Janella tried to find the right words and hesitated during their conversation, Jenine decided to ask her directly.

"You're pregnant."

Janella was reportedly shocked by her mother's response and immediately asked how she knew. Jenine simply replied, "I know. I just do."

The actress said the moment was surprisingly simple and non-dramatic. By that time, Janella had already been living independently for several years after moving out at around 18 years old. Despite the distance and the challenges they had previously faced as mother and daughter, Jenine said their bond remained strong enough for her to instinctively sense when something significant was happening in her daughter's life.

According to Jenine, she wasn't surprised or upset. Instead, she accepted the news calmly, describing it as another example of a mother's intuition when it comes to her child.

Jenine Desiderio Opens Up About Painful Estrangement With Daughter Janella Salvador

During her interview with Aster Amoyo, veteran actress and singer Jenine Desiderio opened up about one of the most painful chapters of her life — the period when she became estranged from her daughter, actress Janella Salvador.

Jenine revealed that even during Janella's younger years, she always wanted her daughter to have a relationship with her father despite their separation. She shared that she made efforts to ensure Janella would be able to appreciate and witness her father's talent as a performer, believing it was important for her daughter to create meaningful memories with him.

However, years later, their own mother-and-daughter relationship faced a difficult challenge.

According to Jenine, the conflict began after she posted a vague message on social media expressing frustration about someone being "stubborn." Although she never mentioned any names, many netizens assumed she was referring to Janella, causing the issue to quickly gain attention online.

"The public attached their own interpretation to my post and made me look like the bad person," Jenine shared. "I was labeled as an overprotective mother who was out of line for posting on social media."

Jenine clarified that she never intended to shame or embarrass her daughter. As a single parent who had spent years raising her children on her own, she explained that there were many moments when she had no one to talk to and no partner to help her navigate difficult decisions.

"I wasn't venting about Janella," she explained. "I simply expressed my feelings. Unfortunately, people connected it to her and turned it into something much bigger than it really was."

The misunderstanding eventually led to a painful estrangement between mother and daughter. Jenine believes Janella was still very young at the time and was surrounded by people whose opinions only intensified the situation.

"Instead of helping us reconcile, other people became the wedge that drove us apart," she said.

The separation took a heavy emotional toll on her. Jenine recalled a particularly heartbreaking Christmas when she chose not to attend a family reunion after learning that Janella and her then-boyfriend would be there.

Although she wanted her daughter to spend time with relatives and cousins she was close to, Jenine admitted feeling deeply hurt and believed her privacy had been invaded while she was being unfairly judged by the public.

Rather than risk creating tension during the holiday gathering, she quietly went home.

That night became one of the darkest moments of her life.

Jenine revealed that she cried herself to sleep and even dreamed of her late father, who passed away in 2011.

"I fell asleep crying nonstop. I was alone, curled up in bed while the rest of the world was celebrating Christmas," she recalled.

For nearly two years, mother and daughter barely spoke.

Despite the distance, Jenine said a mother's intuition never disappeared. Even during their estrangement, she often sensed when something was wrong with Janella and continued to care about her well-being from afar.

Eventually, circumstances brought them back together. As Janella matured, built her own life, and later became a mother herself, the two slowly began repairing the bond they had lost.

"We rebuilt the relationship that we lost," Jenine said. "We're trying to fill it now with good and positive memories."

Looking back, Jenine described the entire experience as deeply traumatic and one she never wants to relive.

"It was a very painful time. There are so many things that can no longer be said. It was traumatic even for me as a person," she admitted.

Today, Jenine says the experience taught her the importance of preserving relationships and choosing reconciliation whenever possible.

"It's a place I never want to go back to," she said. "At all costs, I would rather save a relationship for whatever it's worth."
