Reality...kaya thankful sa mga tumatangkilik po sa amin so we can at least pay the bills, wages, and expenses...
COINS NA LANG ANG NATIRA AFTER PAYING ALL THE BILL.
The REAL STRUGGLE of a Small Business Owner 🥺
Running a small business sounds exciting, right? You get to be your own boss, call the shots, and chase your dreams. But what most people don’t see are the quiet battles we fight behind the scenes. Yun bang after paying rent, salaries, utilities, taxes, supplies, and unexpected expenses, coins na lang ang natira sa wallet mo.
Yes, literal coins.
THE REALITY IS SCREAMING! 🥲
People often think being a business owner means you’re rich or rolling in cash. They see the nice signage, the busy shop, the online orders. But the truth? Many of us are just trying to survive from one month to the next.
It’s not uncommon to have months where income is barely enough to cover expenses. And when there’s a little extra, it’s usually reinvested into the business from buying stock, repairing equipment, or covering delayed payments. Profit? Sometimes, it’s just a few coins in a cash box.
Also, here comes the SILENT PRESSURE! There’s pressure to stay strong. You don’t want your team to worry, your customers to notice, or your family to stress. So you smile, serve, hustle, and grind. Behind the counter or on your phone at night, you’re budgeting down to the last peso.
You start asking: “Kaya pa ba?”
But deep down, you know: “Kailangan pa.”
Despite the struggle, there’s pride in what we’ve built. There’s fulfillment in every returning customer, every compliment, every little milestone. And most of all, there’s hope that one day, it won’t just be coins left, but true, stable income.
We keep going because we believe in the dream. We adjust, innovate, ask for help when needed, and learn from each challenge.
To my fellow small biz owners,
If you’re in the same boat, just know you are not alone. It’s okay to admit that it’s tough. It’s okay to feel tired. What matters is that you’re still showing up. That strength? That’s something no coin can measure.
Keep fighting. The journey may be hard, but we rise coin by coin, day by day.
