[New Publication]

Congratulations to Engr. Nikko John Leo S. Lobos for their new publication entitled “Observational signatures of quantum-corrected RN blackhole” in the prestigious journal Annals of Physics, a Q1 journal with Impact Factor of 3.0.

This research investigates how quantum-corrected Reissner-Nordström (RN) black holes present themselves to astrophysical observers. By analyzing the null geodesic structure, the study explores the competition between electric charge and the quantum correction parameter.

Congratulations to our undergraduate students for their participation in the Poster Exhibit at the 2026 NRCP Annual Scientific Conference and 93rd General Membership Assembly.

The team, composed of Mark Kenneth Biasbas, Faustino Miguel Flores, Carl Christian Gatchalian, Lorin Angela Velasco, and Dulce Maria Yadao, under the guidance of their mentor, Engr. Ma. Madecheen Pangaliman, MSc, presented their research titled: "Gazzard: Gas Leak Source Detection using an Autonomous Unmanned Vehicle."

By integrating NDIR CO2 sensing with YOLO-World object detection, they demonstrated an innovative robotic solution for enhancing safety in industrial environments.

Congratulations to Samuel John A. Ocenar, MSECE student, and his mentor, Dr. Seigfred V. Prado, for their participation in the competing poster category at the 2026 NRCP Annual Scientific Conference and 93rd General Membership Assembly.

Their research, titled "Development of a Thermal and Tactile Stimulation Device with EEG-based Neurofeedback for Stress Intervention," presents a groundbreaking, non-invasive approach to managing chronic stress among university students. By integrating real-time EEG feedback with multisensory stimulation, this work from the BRAIN Laboratory at the University of Santo Tomas highlights the power of ECE in creating personalized healthcare solutions.
