Our first speaker, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐞, is a doctoral graduate in clinical pharmacy from Mahidol University in Thailand (2018) and a graduate of MS Pharmacology (2013) and BS Pharmacy (2004) from the University of the Philippines Manila. At present, he is an Associate Professor 3 and the Dean at the UP College of Pharmacy.

He has been recognized for his outstanding performance by receiving three Gawad Dekana Awards for Outstanding Teacher and the Philippine Pharmacists Association (PPhA) - Unilab The Outstanding Pharmacist (TOP) in Education/Academe. Currently pioneering as the first Filipino (pharmacist) member of the Southeast Asian Pharmacogenomics Research Network (SEAPharm), he is leading other scientists as the principal investigator of internationally funded research in pharmacogenomics and pharmacogenetics in Southeast Asia.
